Windows Server 2008 has stopped working...
I am using Win 7x64 Pro. From time to time I get a flag in the Tray, a message that says:-
"Download a hotfix from Microsoft Corporation
Windows Server 2008 R2 has stopped working properly.
"To view details about how to solve this problem, click the link below to read a Microsoft Support Knowledge Base (KB) article online. Follow the steps in the article to solve the problem.
"Tap or click to go online to the Microsoft Corporation website for the KB articleTap or click to go online to the Microsoft Corporation website for the KB article"
I haven't noticed any problems, however, clicking on the link brings up:-
"fvevol!FveFilterDeviceControl+1d0" Stop error when you create a VSS snapshot backup in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 "
What in Gawd's name is that supposed to mean? Right under this it says, "Hotfix download available". That sounds sort of reassuring until I read the next line:
"Not sure if this is the right fix? We've added this issue to our memory dump diagnostic which can confirm."
I am reluctant to fix something that doesn't seem to be broke. Any suggestions???
