    new startup program streamci

Winpatrol has just flagged a new startup program. No details at all but it has streamci,StreamingDeviceSetup{lots of letters and numbers},asynmac,{more numbers and letters

Any ideas what it is? Googling says it's something to do with Microsoft.

Tell WinPatrol to allow it, then you should not get too many more alerts from that source. I've used WinPatrol for years now; its best strength is simply alerting when something new is wanting a "piece of the action." and wants you to decide: Allow or Decline.

Is it a Run or RunOnce item. If it's RunOnce it will be set up / initialization, usually after you installed / changed something. Searching seems to indicate it should only run once.

    cheers, Paul

Thanks Paul, I disallowed it so will allow it should it come up again. Just wasn't sure if it was a nasty.

I don't think I changed anything and hadn't installed anything yesterday, but who knows!?
