    can't find saved file

I am using Kingsoft (free version of Office Word). After creating and saving a file as a .doc file I can't find the file anywhere on my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A Search in Windows Explorer or File Explorer for *.doc or *.docx should give a list of all the files of those types on the HDD. Be sure to also look for Hidden files. Also look in Kingsoft's Options or Preferences for the Default location of the Folder it saves to.

Probably the quickest way would be to go through the motions of saving a new file in Kingsoft, and see where it offers to save it.

Was this by any chance opened directly from an email and then saved with Ctrl+S? This is one of the easiest ways to lose a file in Word. I don't know about Kingsoft.
