    Post Vipre Intenet Security 2015

I have Vipre Internet Security on my system. It has a history cleaner as part of the package. I contacted Vipre because it was not cleaning recent history on my MS Office or Adobe software. I was told by Vipre I needed to uninstall and install the 2015 version that included the more recent files which it did not. I have a liftetime version of this software. If I tell it to show only the installed programs, it does not pick up MS Office, Adobe, Thunderbird, Firefox, etc. If I click off the "Show installed programs only," it does show Firefox, MS Office, Adobe, etc. That being said, it shows only Adobe Reader 7. No Adobe Acrobat. The latest MS Office it shows Office 2000, 2003, and 2007. When I quizzed them on this, I was told they don't have the later version of MS Office yet. Give me a break. Office 2010 has been out for years and there is a newer version after Office 2010. They wanted me to upload a diagnostics file for my system which I could not get to run. They then wanted to set up a session to connect to my PC to troubleshoot the problem which I was not comfortable doing. Does anyone have their Vipre's Internet Security software? If so, have you encountered this issue. I really am not too sure about their software or their tech support. Any insight would be helpful.

When I look for security software I usually start with how well if funtions and protects.

These three sites are a good place to start research...

This review of Vipre by PC Magazine is not very encouraging...

We used a commercial version of Vipre several years ago. It performed well then. I had to contact their support a few times. I found them to be helpful and conscientious. I think I let them access a PC remotely a couple times during the time we had Vipre. I had no qualms then. We changed from Vipre to Microsoft's A/V when we went with Intune. All this was a few years ago so it may not be relevant to Vipre today.
