    HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-AIO Printer 32-bit & 644-bit

My son has a Vista 32-bit desktop computer and his printer is an HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-AIO Printer N911A

    I have a chance to get him a Win7 64-bit laptop

It appears to me I could install the 64-bit driver onto the laptop but would that cause issues between the 32-bit and 64-bit computers.

He canít find the printers disc that came with Ií hoping I can find the 64-bit driver on HPís support website when I get to his house

The HP website doesn't differentiate between x32 or x64 drivers for the HP Officejet Pro 8600 and usually does a good job of offering the best driver based on deterrmining the OS of the PC that you are visiting the website from.

You can choose between the 'full' driver installation package or, if you only want the drivers, a smaller HP Officejet Pro Basic Print and Scan Driver. While you are at it, it might be an idea to check for updated firmware.

    Hope this helps...
