Question Two numbers in same cell ($ and $/sqm)

    Hi all,

I received an excel model from another company where they are putting $ figure and $/sqm value in the same cell.

    Example below:

3,149,139 | 436 (all in same cell) being the first number the $ value and the second the $/sqm value; the format of the cell is _(* #,##0_);_(* (#,##0);_(* "-"_);_(@_)

Unfortunately they sent me the model in hard-plug and I do not know how to make a formula showing this.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    EPV,

Welcome to the Lounge as a New Poster!

Here's one way to get two values in a single cell:
    =SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE("Cost Per Mi.=**.** Per Day = xx.xx","**.**",TEXT(J3,"#.00"),1),"xx.xx",TEXT(I3, "##.00"),1)

    Welcome to the Lounge.
You can use formulas to extract the values from the cell.
