    10041 to 10049 upgrade times

    The first time I allowed Windows update to do the upgrade it took 3 hours.

    After following the advice on this thread on the Insider forum the time was reduced to 35 minutes.

    Reading through the thread, it appears the bug in the install process that causes the long times will be fixed in a future build but pulling the network connection shouldn't hurt.
