    NAS Recommendations

Looking for recommendations on Network Attached Storage -about 3-4 TB to back up my server.
I have a Western Digital My Cloud but I can not get my desktop computer to find it. I tried pinging WDMYCLOUD but that did not work. Tech support is basically reset your router.
4 computers are DHCP, printers are fixed IP.

Connect to your router and view the connected devices. You should see the WD device and its IP address.
Enter the IP address into your browser in the form "http://x.x.x.x", where x.x.x.x is the WD IP address.

    cheers, Paul

    Z.Z.,

Once you've found it using Paul's instructions you have to configure it with user accounts (use same credentials as you log on to your pc) and give access to the shares you set up on the drive.

The pic is from my WD My Book Live which has been renamed to WD Cloud.
