    Restore caused prior build?

I had backed up b10049. Then I was having issues so I restored the backup. But when I did that "it" decided to go back to the original (?) build (95256?) and restored that, so then I had to re-update everything.

Is that expected or did I do something wrong?

    Regards,

The backup, which you restored, put back everything that it copied into its image [whatsoever existed at the time the backup image was made].

My guess is that you did your backup just before you upgraded to build 10049.

Jerry, that would surely make sense...I thought that I had done the build update, and the straight away made the backup and labeled it. Well, at least I know that it wasn't "supposed" to happen like that!

    Chuck, hello.
A FWIW ! When I install a new build, I then do a Restore point and would resort to a backup as a last option. A restore from a point would have given you what you were trying to do, methinks.

    All best wishes. Jean.
