Batch change of graphic files without input?

Forget this post...sorry...I checked and those files were changed some time back, so I haven't the foggiest not only how they chnaged, but how I was able to make them work?!

I have a folder of ICO files that now are all showing as JPG files -- and not only in my working folder, but in a Macrium Reflect Backup!

I'd like to know how it happened, but I'd like even more how to fix this! Ideas??

I must say I'm not clear what has or hasn't happened, but the Command Prompt window would allow
    cd <working_directory_path>
    ren *.jpg *.ico

presuming that ALL the JPG files should be ICO files.

Why your original problem happened, I am completely clueless...

    Batch, hello.
I think that somebody has played with the Default Programme setup. I find that this takes place when I change from Acrobat to any other .pdf reader, all the files icons follow suite and it does not bother me at all.
    All best wishes. Jean.
