Microsoft rolling out 34 unscheduled patches for Windows today 4/21/15

They all show "Optional" on my win 7. I think I'll wait before installing these.

Yup, that's what showed up. I hid KB3013531 because I don't have a windows phone, not sure about what this does exactly KB3020370 (Update the copy of the Cmitrust.dll file in Windows), this one sounds helpful so I may install KB3048761 (Information or messages are not updated automatically in an application in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2).
Thanks for the link satrow. I had to google all of them earlier to see what they were.

21 updates showed up as optional on my Win8.1. Went ahead and installed them. Not sure if any actually would benifit me or even needed, but still, when M$ releases so many updates out of gamut, there had to be a reason.

MS strikes again. KB3022345 fails to install for many users and according to the multiplicity of online chatter, no one has yet found a solution.

This tracking service collects data about functional issues in Windows components.

    Hey Y'all,

I imaged my C: drive and then installed them all (21 on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit). So far so good! YMMV. HTH

KB3022345 - This update enables the Diagnostics Tracking Service in Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. This service collects data about functional issues in Windows components. In other words, it spies on everything you do. It also appears in W10.

I posted the following in the Web User Forum.

Should anyone actually want to install KB3022345, here is a solution which has been found to work.

1/ Download the manual installers for KB3022345 and KB3045999.

2/ Uninstall KB3045999, having which already installed, MS says, is a prerequisite to be able to install KB3022345, but is apparently more hindrance than help. DO NOT reboot the PC when requested to do so.

3/ Install KB302245. DO NOT reboot.

4/ Reinstall KB3045999 and reboot the PC

Should you subsequently wish to turn off this "diagnostic service", find the DiagTrack Service and disable it.
