    Can't Print Screen

Neither pressing Print Screen nor Alt+Print Screen works. It's possible a system file may be dislocated. I recently discovered one such and just entering the file name in the right place got it to work (this was getting an icon on Quick Launch to work as a shortcut).

    Any ideas? <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16> Thanks. Maria

Do you mean that using these keys you are not getting anything pasted into the clipboard?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Re: Can't Print Screen

PrintScreen key on your keyboard under Windows does not send the image from your screen to the printer, but to the memory. To print it, open MSPaint and paste the image (Edit | Paste), then print (File | Print).

To make this process easier, you can use Print Key program (<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/3053/>http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/3053/</A>)
Free (english) version of this program is still available from german webpage <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.zdnet.de/download/library/00H6Y-wc.htm>http://www.zdnet.de/download/library/00H6Y-wc.htm</A>
Hurry up - other websites already disconnected it!

Provided the author doesn't object, I'll put it on my site in case it disappears from there as well.

    Re: Can't Print Screen

Thank you for your pronpt replies. First, I used to have PrintKey but I don't have it any longer. It was useful but when I had problems with my system I uninstalled everything except the applications I really needed. Secondly, I didn't know the Print Screen key only copied the screen to the Clipboard. I discovered it is doing that so I just need to print from there. I'm afraid I don't recognize MSPaint. The Clipboard does seem to function fine.

Thank you all for your help.

    Maria
