    Back up disc problem

    Hope some one can help.

I recently had to return my PC to factory settings, I backed up my files onto 5 dvds, now when I insert the disc the screen says; Auto play 'Open folder to view files' when I select another page comes up ' files currently on disc ' when the files are displayed i try to open only to see the message ' Adobe reader could not open because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged'

    Can someone help please

Use the program that made the backups to restore the backups.

What program did you use to backup your files?
Did you create an image or just backup the data?
Are you able to boot from the first (or last) DVD?

    cheers, Paul

Paul, I wonder if OP used the manufacturer's built-in utility to make the 5-DVD restore set. I made a set long ago, it works by booting the 1st DVD.
