    Change Default Email Program

How do I change the default email program in Windows ME? Each time I reboot and then start Eudora, it tells me it's not the default and asks if I want to change. I say yes and everything is fine until the next reboot when I get the same message again. This does not happen on my Win 95 system with the same software so I expect it's something to do with ME.

    Are you using Internet Explorer?

Tools > Internet Options > Programs

What program do you have set for E-mail?

I use Netscape. I'm not even sure I have IE installed.

I get that message and I click on Yes. For as long as I don't reboot, Eudora remains my registered email program and I can start it and exit it as many times as I want without problems. Once I reboot, I once again get the message the first time I start Eudora.

Never Mind, I Figured It Out

It turns out that the Mindspring DSL software changes the default mailer each time it loads. So, it was not the reboot that was resetting it but the restarting of the DSL. I can control that via its configuration.
