That's 2 topics today about Chrome being buggy?

Try using the Pale Moon Atom/XP version, it's much less prone to irrational changes than Chrome or Firefox, etc.

I have no such problems with Chrome on win 7 so maybe it is XP specific.

This looks like a duplicate of a thread the OP started earlier...

Unfortunately nothing specific, but I have an XP Pro sp3 laptop and Chrome refuses to update to the latest version, saying that it isn't supported. I think google is phasing out chrome support for XP altogether.

I am using the latest version of Firefox (38.0.1) on a Win XP SP3 machine and it works fine. It also has the same Firefox add-ons as two other Win 7 machines.

I'm wondering if your Chrome and Firefox issues are related more to your system, than "bugs".

    you got me

i am unaware of any problem except that firefox did not install right when i tried to get a newer one and was unable to delete it or the original ff that had worked but taht the newer one forked during the install of the latest ff version

i got chrome as least worst to be able to work
but chrome is a POS massive bugfest that is slow slow slow
and the TOS says they get to steal all your data if you use it

what problem could my system have
and how can i find it

    mbam comes up clean
    so do other programs
diagnostics did not find anything wrong with the HD

not had chance to run mem tests yet

what else to look at ?
