    FF 38.0.1 Out

The title says it all. Upgrade went smoothly and all seems to be running normally...at least on my rig! As always YMMV

I've been using it for a couple of days now...no issues.

↑ Same here. The biggest change UI-wise with 38x seems to be the options dialogue, which looks similar to the Avast! AV UI.

Oh joy . . how children love to play around with GUI's. Whatever you do, if something goes wrong, don't click on Refresh!!!

Refresh is fine, it only takes me ~10 minutes to import my data from the saved folder and a few more to reinstall safe extensions.

It does need better documentation, however - and the current in-browser brevity belies the action:
    Give Firefox a tune up

    Try Safe Mode
    Compare this with Pale Moon's:
Reset Pale Moon to its default state

If you're having major problems which you can't resolve, start fresh with only your essential information.
Safe Mode for both involves (iirc) holding down Shift while starting the browser, not so hard, and a restart after testing reverts it to normal mode.

I'm glad to hear that, but still hope I don't have to do it. The main reason for my post was because of the horror stories described in the two other threads in this title which started with refresh on FF-37.

I fell foul of the 38.0 update, but after uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling 38.0.1 version, things are back to normal.
