    Wireless Printer and Ethernet Internet

Is it possible to have a wireless card in your PC to connect to a wireless print and still use your Ethernet cable for the internet connection?

You should be able to connect to your wireless printer via your wired connection without a wireless card as long as you have a wireless router. That's the setup I'm currently using.

You should also be able to do it with an additional card in the PC.

There are two types of wireless printer connections.

In one type the printer uses Wifi to get on your network. In this case, your PC does not need WiFi at all.

The other type is called WiFi direct and that creates a direct link between two wifi devices, no router needed at all. For that, your PC would need to use WiFi.
