USB 3.0 drive options and File History

For File History, should USB 3.0 drive have

    "Indexing" on or off?
"Better Performance" or Quick removal selected?

Depends how you use the drive. I want USB devices to be portable so I'd have indexing off and Quick Removal selected.

    cheers, Paul

I am using the USB for File History. I want to eliminate failures of File History to backup OneNote files.

If all you are using it for is File History there is no reason to index the drive. Setting for performance may be better if you never remove the drive or if you are very careful to use "safely remove hardware" when you do remove it.
