    Strange memory conflicts?

I use a keyboard macro program, have for years, and it has worked flawlessly. Now though, every now and then, the macro / hotkey doesn't respond -- UNTIL I click the task bar, and then it does. I thought that was an issue with the keyboard program...until now.

I have a set of three Google shortcuts that I set up -- one to call Google Contacts, one for Google calendar, and one for Google Maps. They were working fine until the last build install. Then I was resetting things, and had the three shortcuts on the desktop, and they weren't working. They were only partially executing the command-line, and instead of call the particular Google app, they were opening the Google folder. I tried adding/removing/adjusting quote marks in the command-line, but that did nothing.

But, when I put them in a folder in the Start Menu, they worked fine.

    ??

Could there be some type of issue with the Desktop? I'm not technically savvy enough to even begin to guess what or why, but should that be happening??

    Here you go:

    %gChrome% %gCal% - Calendar

    %gChrome% %gPeeps% - Contacts

    %gChrome% - Chrome

    Paths:

    %gChrome% - C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

    %gCal% - https://www.google.com/calendar/b/1/render?pli=1#g

    %gPeeps% - https://www.google.com/contacts_v2/#contacts

    So

Google Contacts will be %gChrome% %gPeeps%
Google Calendar will be %gChrome% %gCal%

You mentioned quotes...did you double-quote the %Chrome% entry?

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
