    Subject: Windows 10
What do we do if we haven't received an Invitation for Win 10 or haven't they completed their invites?

Check Why don’t I have the Get Windows 10 app? at Windows 10 FAQ.

Check WU for all updates, including optional ones. The upgrade offer comes as part of a WU KB download.
If your computer's hardware predates Windows 7 (XP era) it might not be supported in terms of processor or driver function.
(Something we saw with Windows 8-but rare though).
    DRIVE IMAGING
Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

Build your own system; get everything you want and nothing you don't.
    Latest Build:
    ASUS X99 Deluxe, Core i7-5960X, Corsair Hydro H100i, Plextor M6e 256GB M.2 SSD, Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 32GB DDR4@2666, W8.1 64 bit,
EVGA GTX980, Seasonic PLATINUM-1000W PSU, MountainMods U2-UFO Case, and 7 other internal drives.

It isn't a limited number of invites, if your PC qualifies you're in!

    Check the posts above.

    From Susan Bradley (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...=1433519860866 ):
    To set everyone's expectations:

If you don't get this working it in no way stops you from getting Windows 10.

Now let's think about this. Does anyone here really want to be the first one to install this or would you rather install it once it's validated that this in place upgrade works well?

If you don't get this installed, please, there is no need at all to panic. You will still get your free Windows 10.

The only thing that I'd personally like to be first in line for is the reservation system for the upcoming Star Wars movie. For this process, it would be wiser to wait just a little bit and be assured all kinks are worked out. If you really want to play with Windows 10, I'd recommend you'd sign up for the Windows insider program and help the beta testing process.

But everyone, don't panic. Having this not work is not a sign that your pc can't run 10, nor that you won't get it, nor anything else other than patching sometimes doesn't go as planned. Which is all the more reason to not be the first to install Windows 10 when it RTM.

There are links in there for some tips if you really really really really want this icon, but I'm just saying, don't panic if you don't.
