    windows media player 12

hi I have windows media player 12 on my windows 7 SP1 home premium pc. When windows offers the upgrade to Windows 10, will WMP 12 be lost or is it just the windows media center they are removing from the upgrade ?

Concerned about this because i a few thousand songs on the player.

    Thanks for any replies

Its only the media centre that's going.

But...I'm hearing that Win 10 won't play DVD's (as in movies, etc.). That is a function of Media Player, at least on my Win 7 machine with Media Player 12. I wonder how they're managing that - deleting a codec perhaps?

They have to pay for the codec if they include it. This is Microsoft were talking about here. Install the K-Lite full codec pack to have full functionality.
