    Hide System Tray

    In other copies of Windows XP that I use there is a small arrow to the left of the system try that permits me to hide most of the icons on the system tray. In one copy of Windows XP Pro I am unable to shrink the system tray. What's the trick?

    right click on the toolbar area and choose properties, then check the hide inactive icons box.
