    Read receipts

    This is a two-parter:

First, if I send a text message from outlook ( addressee is, for instance, 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com ) can I request a read receipt by checking the appropriate box? Doe it apply to txt messages?

Secondly, is the sending of that receipt reliant upon reader approval? So, if they don't act on it, or refuse to do so, I wouldn't get the receipt?

    Regards,
    Chuck

You can always request a receipt in mail, but the result depends on the receiver. If they have turned RR off, as I do, you will get nothing.
SMS is not a guaranteed delivery mechanism and has no RR option, so you may find out the email was delivered, but not the text.

    cheers, Paul

Unfortunately, Paul, that's what I thought I was seeing.

    Oh well...

    Thanks,
    Chuck
