Update Date only once (97/2000)

    Hi,

I made a DOT-template some months ago, containing a date field { TIME @ "dddd d MMMM yyyy"} that inserts the date and automatically sets it to the current date (Insert > Date and Time > Adjust automatically).

Problem is, Word also adjusts this data now when I open the document, and so I loose the data of it was created.

Is there a possibility to have Word insert the current data in a document/template when that document is created, but not adjust it when it is opened at later dates?

    Thanks to you all!

    Alex

    Try substituting CREATEDATE for TIME.

You probably want to be using CREATEDATE instead of time. See Inserting a Date - and Making it Stick! (addbalance.com/word/datefields1.htm) for information on how to handle date fields.
