    Google ads

There is a way to stop ads from appearing while searching. But I have forgotten the syntax.
It goes like this google.com/hlpweb something like this but I can't find where I read it.
Did all kind of searches looking for it.

    Thanks In Advance

You'll get better answers if you give more information.
First off, where are you....put that in your profile, so it will show up with every post.

Next what OS are you running, and what Browser are you using?

I use only Mozilla Firefox as my Browser, and I've installed "Ad Block Plus" and several different block lists, to prevent all ads from appearing on my screen.
Life on the PC would be pretty miserable without Ad Block Plus.

    good luck

uBlock is reckoned to be more lightweight and better than ADP but it only works so far on Chrome and now on Firefox.

I think we need a bit more info as to the websites where you get the adverts.

I agree with The Doctor, "Add Block Plus" is great and really does the job.

I do not see how this works. It does not appear to be a supported feature by Google. And appears to be a sign of a virus called Conduit. Perhaps it is an unsupported feature and Google Search Engine blocks retrieval of discussion on it other than its association with a virus.

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.

I use this - Quick, Safe, Versatile for my 'Home page':
    https://www.ixquick.com/eng/advanced...cat=web&query=

Put "windoswssecrets.com" in the domain box to search here or to get the syntax.

No adds for me in IE 11 when doing that - just got the equivalent of a Google search with multiple links.
