Calendar Month View - Highlighting current day (XP)

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about a way to highlight or in some way make more noticeable the current day in the month view of the outlook calendar? There are a lot of things I like about the outlook calendar, but when you first enter the calendar it is very difficult to figure out what day today is (unless you click on some random day and then hit the Today button). Most every other calendar program I've worked with has some way of changing the background color or highlighting or putting a border around the current day, but I can't figure out how to do that in Outlook in the Month View. Can I write a script to do that automatically? Any help would be VERY appreciated!

it's a bug in that outlook loses focus. it might be fixed in sp1, i'm not sure. the bug is generally not 'active' until you use outlook today or hotmail, although it varies with the user. pressing f6 or control+tab brings the calendar into focus and the date is highlighted in blue. clicking with the mouse on any day of the week at the top of the calendar works also.

(if you pay attention, you'll see this bug affects all folders, but the last used item is shaded light gray, so you can still see what was selected.)

I read the question as being:
When you open up the Calendar, todays date is highlighted with a dark blue bar. If you then select another day, it has the highlight and there is no obvious way to identify which day 'today' is.

if so, then there is no way to mark "today".

Because he said he selects any date then the today button to correct it, i think its the focus bug - since it's one of the ways (the hard way <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>) to bring it back into focus and the today button doesn't work if outlook is out of focus.

apparently, this bug is active for some as soon as outlook opens, for others, only after using outlook today.
