Cool removing local formatting in footnotes via the style panel (only for Word experts!)

Part of my workflow before typesetting in InDesign is to clean up the document in Microsoft Word 2013. An extremely useful feature is the style panel which I make very large (on a second screen) and then I can see all the local formatting. Simply selecting a ďstyleĒ such as Normal+expanded by 1 pt allows me to quickly select all the expanded text in the entire document. Selected body+italic allows me to highlight all the italic text and apply a character style in one keystroke. Basically a huge timesaver.

However, I have not found a way of making the style panels show the styles and local formatting for footnotes. Is this even possible? Or is there a different workaround which is as efficient?

Thanking you in advance for any help,

֔Yes I do think that solves my problem. I knew about the reveal formatting but I didn't play with it enough to realise that clicking on that arrow would give me the option that I would need.
