    Animated text

    Could anyone tell me whether Word 2013 still has the ability to 'animate' text?

    This feature was available in Word '97; the user could configure text to have a blinking background, or have marching red ants.

    Animated text in Word

    Hi Robko
    I believe that it disappeared from the interface in office 2007.

    I am using 2010 and I have found that I can still access .animation with vba
    Code:
    Selection.Font.Animation=wdAnimationMarchingRedAnts
    Check out this link that google turned up.

    Sorry but cannot comment of 2013.

    It will not work in Word 2013. Word 2013 simply ignores any such setting.

    In Word 2007-2010 you can access it through vba or by having an AutoText sample with the animation.

    Apparently it was driving too many suits crazy.
