Also available for Windows 10 under a different KB number:

Microsoft plugs gaping security hole with KB 3079904, KB 3074667

(The latter Windows 10 patch refers back to the Security Bulletin, but the Security Bulletin doesn't (yet) include any reference to Windows 10: I feel like Microsoft should have got this stuff together by now; perhaps they don't regard Windows 10 as "supported" for another 10 days yet, but I've used the Contact Support app/chat/remote in 10240 )

Yeah; just finish patching my Win8.1 and Win7 VM. No patch for XP of course but not so worried about that since I'm double-sandboxed.

Just read this and did a manual check for updates; this was offered, but only labelled as "important"?

Important is the highest importance in Windows Update; others are Recommended, Optional:

Updates: frequently asked questions (What do the different types of updates mean?)

Critical only appears in Security Bulletins: Security Bulletin Severity Rating System

Thanks for the explanation-I saw the word "critical" in the Thread title and jumped to conclusions.
