    Win 10 & Outlook 2016

    Hey Y'all

I was playing with Cortana this morning and couldn't get it to give me my appointments from Outlook 2016 preview. Poked around w/Default programs which let me set OL16 as the default email program but would not offer the option for the default calendar.

Anyone messed with this and figured it out? Googling wasn't any help at all, at least with the terms I used.

Try the old Control Panel | Programs | Default Programs | Set Default Programs.

Scroll down to Outlook. Set it as the default for all its protocols.

    Joe,

DUH! Unfortunately, Cortana still will not see my calendar. Thanks for the Idea though.

You might have to chalk that up to pre-release Office software. Have you checked any Office forums?

I would offer a guess that Cortana would work with your Microsoft Account calendar. This is just a guess based on using Cortana on my phone. I am not taking the plunge to Windows 10 yet and haven't used the betas.

P.S.: It seems Cortana can also use Google Calendar, if you have one. I may be wrong, but I guess it will only work with cloud calendars.
