"Why Haven't I Gotten My Upgrade Notification Yet"?" This might be why ...
Why haven’t I gotten my Win 10 upgrade notification yet?
Many who have the "Get Windows 10" App visible on their desktops are asking this question.
Here is an interesting possible reason given by Microsoft
"We are rolling the upgrades out in phases to manage high demand and to make sure that your upgrade is right for your device. You might not have received a notification because we are working on a specific compatibility fix for your device, or it could be because of the overall volume of devices upgrading to Windows 10. Your upgrade notification will arrive when your device is ready to upgrade."
The text in red might be an explanation for why some impatient individuals who have "jumped the gun" (and that's no crime!) and upgraded by manually downloading from Microsoft, have found incompatibility or other issues.
Another interesting quote from the above link says:
"We look at the specific compatibility for your device and overall demand for Windows 10 when deciding if a device is ready to upgrade. "
