Very cheeky Windows 10 requesting I pay again for Solitaire Collection

I paid for MS Solitaire Collection when my computer was using Windows 8.1. I upgraded to 10 Wednesday and importing my sign in credentials it is now asking for me to pay again to upgrade to commercial free. Did I miss something in the upgrade that I should have done differently? I'd have thought the subscription would be carried over to Windows 10.

It seems as though it should've carried forward as long as you are using the same Microsoft account. I recommend you contact Microsoft.

The Microsoft Solitaire collection was a free app in Windows 8.1.

Also, if you click on the start icon, then all apps and then scroll down to Microsoft Solitaire collection, you will find two entries - one for your Windows 8.1 version and one for the one built into Windows 10. Try the built in one which should be the top one.

I don't have the Windows 8.1 Solitaire Collection app showing anywhere.

It is a free app in Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10. You pay to get the Premium version which removes all ads and gives more coins for daily challenges.

I am going to contact Microsoft.

    Thanks for your replies

Here is a way to block all ads in the Microsoft games, and elsewhere. http://winaero.com/blog/block-ads-in...oject-spartan/
