can you be a little more specific with the problem? Did it work ok before installing SR1 or some other program? If it was ok until you installed SR1, do you have a legit copy and cd key?

Here are a few KB's that may help. There may be more, search the KB for "office quits immediately" and you should bring up the rest.

you need to uninstall office, locate the upgrade files on your hard drive and delete them, then reinstall office. I think the files are under the windows folder.

    Re: Word problems (gc6j3)

Upgrade files are in WINDOWSINSTALLER folder (if WINDOWS is your Windows folder) and have a form:
    (alphanumeric).msp
where (alphanumeric) is any alphanumeric code given by computer. To determine which MSP file you need to delete, check followed parameters:

    SR-1
    .Msp file Size (bytes)
    ----------------------------
    Data1.msp 28,313,600
    Data2.msp 13,551,616
    ART.msp 8,408,576
    FPSE.msp 739,328
    OWS.msp 7,765,504

    SR-1a
    .Msp file Size (bytes)
    ----------------------------
    Data1.msp 27,412,992
    Data2.msp 13,695,488
    ART.msp 8,410,624
    FPSE.msp 739,328
    OWS.msp 7,765,504

    GUID of the .Msp Files
You can also check the GUID for the .msp files. To check the GUID, right-click an .msp file, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu. Click the Statistics tab. The GUID for the .msp is the first 32 characters listed on the Revision Number line.
    SR-1
    .Msp file GUID

Did you download and run eraser as well, to get rid of *all* the office files? Do that before you install Office all over again.

No need to apologize. Not everyone realizes that it's best to keep a thread together, so I was just pointing it out.

    Re: Word problems (gc6j3)

I would recommend you *DO* upgrade to SR-1, especially if you run Access.
