Calendar

All of a sudden my outlook 2000 calendar function has gone awry. Any new entry is assigned to today's date and time only. Can't pin it to anything I've done. Can soemone advise. Is this a corruption of the file. Should I reload Office 2000? TIA

    no, don't reinstall.

let me make sure i understand - all new appts are added "today"? how are you adding them? it might be a simple matter of adding them differently.

    Re: Calendar

I add appts by double clicking on the future day in question and filling in the subject, time etc. and saving it. Whatever day i double click on now, the "form" indicates today's date.

    Re: Calendar

i've seen this problem before, and found it at dejanews. The guy said he fixed it with a reinstall. I don't know if there is another way to fix it or not. I don't see any tihng in the KB and none of the startup switches sound like they would apply, although it's hard not knowing hte cause. look at the startup switches in help and see what you think, more listed in Q197180

Well, miracles DO happen. I played around with the startup switches on the MS knowledge base and lo and behold /CleanViews fixed the problem. I'll never know how the problem occurred in the first place, but thanks Mary!

thanks for letting us know the fix.

cleanviews worked because one of the views was corrupted and causing problems, how it got that way, who knows.
