    Win10 and the QuickLaunch area

Is the QuickLaunch area still in Win10?

I have used this so long (both Win7 and Win8) that I hope it is still there in Win10.

I checked %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch to make sure it exits in Windows 10, and it does, so you should be able to make a new tool bar and aim it at that folder, but the Search the web and Windows field is where you would want the Quick Launch toolbar to be.

Quick Launch bar (where I moved it from the default in Win7 and 8) is the bottom left of the tray area. From memory, this is where XP used to put it for a default. I still don't know why MS took that out as a default on Win7 and Win8 (which, again from memory, was on by default).

When I upgraded my one side project, buck teeth and all, it had quicklaunch toolbar (8.1) and quicklaunch was still there in the traditional XP location after the upgrade to 10.

Interesting. I don't intend to upgrade to Win10 for several months (even though Windows keeps bugging me to "schedule the upgrade").

Since "upgrading" to Windows 10, I've noticed that frequently all the QuickLaunch icons disappear, then a second later reappear. Any ideas what's going on?
