    Belarc report

I ran Belarc this morning on my Win 10 upgrade and Belarc say's that it is Win 8.1. Interesting that it doesn't see Win 10. There is a different "key" number than the original Win 7 system but I don't have a clue if it is the correct Key since Belarc doesn't even know that it's Win 10.
My confidence in Belarc is dropping fast.

    Lumpy,

You need to update your Belarc Advisor to V 8.5 mine reports fine and the key is correct as confirmed by running slmgr /dlv in an elevated command prompt:

    Thanks RG, that was it.
So the key should be correct now? I notice that on Office 2013 it only reports the last 4 of that key.

    Lumpy,

Run the slmgr /dlv to check. It only reports the last 4 characters but if they match the rest should be correct.

What the heck is that and how do I run it?
Ahh, found how to run it and the last 4 are the same as in Belarc

Just noticed something else. This newer version of Belarc gives the last 4 of Office 2013 key.
The last 4 that Belarc gives is different than my original install key of Office 2013 when I originally installed it in win 7, so win 10 must have used a new key for the upgrade.
Office say's that it is activated and it works fine. Do you know of anyway to find out what the complete new key for Office is?

    Try Produkey ;
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

You may have to whitelist it in your AV or temporarily disable real time protection since its a false positive on many.

    Lumpy,

Interesting it gives the whole product key for my MS Office 2010 Pro installation on Win 10 Home.

You could try the NirSoft free Produkey utility it returns the correct key for my copy of Office.

Evidently Produkey doesn't work for Office 2013. It gives the IE key, OEM BIOS key, and Win 10 key. That's it, nothing else.
