No sound after installing windows 10

Installed windows 10 and had no sound. I searched the internet and was told to uninstall sound driver through device manager. I then scanned for new hardware. It reloaded the driver and everything was fine. Today, I turned on the computer and had no sound. I had to repeat the whole thing again.

Is this a daily occurrence right now or is there a permanent fix for this?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Once you have installed a driver it should stay installed (provided it is the correct driver).

Desktop or laptop? What is the driver's "vendor/model"? (e.g. might be "Realtek HD Audio").
