Exclamation How do I cancel the Win 10 upgrade?

I seem to have accidentally scheduled the Win 10 upgrade to start in 3 days. I would really like to wait for a few months before upgrading. Is there any way to cancel the upgrade without losing my reservation? Please HELP!!!

    Thank you Clint!

That is a great tutorial, and With Pictures!

I've forwarded that link to all my techie friends, here and in Canada, Au. etc.

    Thanks again!

    THANKS

I don't really know why, but I had much fewer steps (Windows 8.1 Pro)

    Right Clicked on Windows icon
    Clicked Check your Upgrade Status

That took me directly to the "Your upgrade is reserved!" page without having to go through the additional steps.

And when I clicked on "cancel reservation", I did not get the "Wait, really? Cancel?" warning.
I just had to click on the "Cancel Reservation" on that page.

Ok, so I did what it said in the link you sent and restarted my machine. WU is still wanting me to restart to install the Win 10 upgrade and will not check for new updates until I complete the current task. BTW, the Get Win 10 icon in the tray is gone.

    What next??
