Exclamation Microsoft issues the wrong Flash Player update

Susan Bradley (who I respect highly) states in this article that there is no way to uninstall Flash Player.

Sorry Ms. Susan, but that is not totally correct.

There is a Flash Player Uninstaller program on this Adobe Labs web page. You need to scroll down and look for the title "Uninstallation"; below this title you will find a download link titled "Download the Flash Player beta uninstaller for Windows".

For a few years now I get the newest (beta-!) flash players from this page. Some don't install over an older version and give a message to run the uninstaller; that is how I discovered it.

I can't test this but I would assume that after running the uninstaller future updates would install the correct flash player - if MS has gotten their act together.

Did you mean to include a link for "a Flash Player Uninstaller program on this Adobe Labs web page"?

Have you actually used it to uninstall flash from IE11 on Windows 8.1?

All the Adobe info says that can't be done.

As it's just annoying pop-ups on some sites, I'm not sure that uninstalling Flash is the best solution anyway.

(I don't think this SNAFU affects Windows 10. Flash is not the debug version on my 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10 IE11.)

EDIT: I think you referred to this page: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

    Bruce,
thanks for pointing out my omission. And yes, the link at the end of your reply is the one I intended to have in the posting.
Sorry if it caused anyone any grief.

Oh, yes, I have used the Adobe Flash Uninstaller many times an Win7 and on Win8/8.1.
There are times when a Flash installer does for whatever reason not install unless you first run their Uninstaller. Can't count how often I had to do this.
I carry the latest Uninstaller always with me just like the latest versions of Flash.
