    Can't upgrade - Win10 says video incompatible

Although I enjoy Win7 on a Dell Inspiron 531, the nags to upgrade to Windows 10 finally got me to make the move.
Imagine my surprise when I got a message that Windows 10 wasn't compatible with my computer's video.

I called NVidia and was told that the integrated graphics on my motherboard's chip set doesn't support Windows 10.

Is there any way to upgrade, other than a new motherboard?

If a compliant video card were installed, could the integrated video be turned off?

If you install a Win10 compatible VGA card your motherboard should automatically disable the onboard VGA.
