    Will have to wait til next year: New SSD technology by Intel.

    Got the link from Slashdot. I read about this technology a few months ago. It promises 1000X faster then current NAND SSDs but the initial run will only be 7 times faster then current SSDs (still darn fast if you ask me).

    For certain uses that looks promising; any Notepad, Word, Excel users will be pushed to see much of an improvement

    1000x is pretty close to RAM speed.
