    The first thing I'd try would be to fire up SysInternals AutoRuns and look for NetTv and disable it from auto starting.

    Dave,

    Googling "windows Media Center nettv" (BTW: I picked up the Media Center from the error msg, sorry I didn't catch it the first time) indicates that it is trying to update the Channel Guide for Media Center. Others have experienced the same problem. Use the google terms and see if you can find a solution there. HTH
