Unhappy How to close a program frozen in place?

I've been experimenting with the Snipping Tool that comes with Win 7. Was working fine until I tried to email an image. This opened what I think was Microsoft Outlook 2010, which I never use, nor want to. I was able to close Outlook but not the Snipping Tool window, which is frozen in place. How to close it?

    Thanks

Left-click on the "exit" X button in the upper-right area of the snipping-tools dialog to close (exit) the tool.

    Thanks! Guess I'm getting rusty.
