Want to kill sounds (IE 5.50 & Win2K)

Some web sites have sounds that start playing (usually, some sort of gawdawful music) as soon as you enter the site. I want to disable all these.

I've gone to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and unchecked the Play Animations, Play Sounds, and Play Video options but I still get sounds playing on some sites (here's one: Saw Three Ships).

There also used to be an option on a menu somewhere that would let you stop movies/sounds/animations but this seems to no longer be available. I can click the Stop button but that also stops the rest of the page from displaying. I just want to kill the sounds/movies.

    How can I do this??

These could be playing through ShockWave or other active content on the web page. Try adding the site to your Restricted Zone (where you have everything Disabled, right?)
If this works, you might find a convenient way to change zones is via the IE Buttons pack I have available at Mercury Freeware.
