    Windows 10 closing non-responding programs

I have some programs (Powerdesk 9 for one) which don't start quickly enough for Win10 and are automatically closed for being non-responsive, is there anything I can do to stop this or lengthen the default time before a program is deemed not responding?

From your description, I would guess that win 10 isn't the problem. Sounds like your computer is bogging down for some reason ( something running in the background, malware, etc. ).
    BTW, welcome to the forum

Depending on how old the programs are, you may be able to download updates for them to make them compatible with W10, or you could try running them in Compatibility Mode if there are no updates available.

    As for PD 9:-

"Thank you for contacting VCOM Technical Support.
I am sorry to report Power Desk 9 will not run under Windows 10. At this time I have not heard of any plans for a Windows 10 compatible version. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Thanks, Calimanco. I guess that is the answer.
