    Favorites Menu Items

When I click on the favorites menu on my Explorer toolbar (ver 6.0), all the items don't show, only the ones that I use the most often. I want them ALL to show. I can't find a switch that will allow that. Any ideas?
    Thanks! <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

    Re: Favorites Menu Items

I may have no business answering this, because I don't use XP, nor IE 6.0. But I was just wondering if you were sure that you did, in fact, ADD the ones that are not showing. Maybe you neglected to go thru the process?

    Re: Favorites Menu Items

    Hi Julia:
Since you don't use IE or XP you probably wouldn't know that XP is doing something different to the Favorites menu and the way the listings are being SHOWN. It also occurred with the START button menu, however, I found the "switch" for those. I cannot find the "switch" for the Favorites.

Thanks for the reply, because you never know when it might generate a great idea to solve a problem.

    Re: Favorites Menu Items

    Try this:
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-GB;q257045&GSSNB=1>"Use Personalized Menus" Option in Taskbar and Start Menu Properties Has No Effect on Internet Explorer Favorites Menu (Q257045)</A>
I appreciate it doesn't actually list XP, but you never know. . . .

    SYMPTOMS
The Use Personalized Menus check box in Taskbar and Start Menu properties has no effect on the Internet Explorer personalized Favorites menu. For example, the Favorites menu is still personalized in Internet Explorer after you click to clear the Use Personalized Menus check box in Taskbar and Start Menu properties.

    CAUSE
The Use Personalized Menus check box in Taskbar and Start Menu properties affects only the Start menu ( Programs and Favorites ). This check box does not affect the Internet Explorer Favorites menu.

    RESOLUTION
To enable or disable the Internet Explorer personalized Favorites menu:

    Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options .
    Click the Advanced tab.
Click to clear or select the Enable Personalized Favorites Menu check box.
    Click OK .
