    Normal.dot Backup (Word 97)

I have Word 97 - I want to make a Backup copy of my Normal.dot Template in case it ever gets corrupted.
    How do I do this?
Also - If Normal.dot does get corrupted - How do I turn the Normal.dot Backup Template into the New Normal.dot Template?

    JUst copy the Normal.dot file.
Bring it back if the original gets corrupted.

    Hi:

first do a search on your hard drive to find exactly where your NORMAL.DOT file is located. copy it to a disk or whatever.

If it gets corrupted, just copy the saved file to the same location that the corrupted file is located. It will over-write the bad file.
