    Windows 10 ISO Download

"If you need to install or reinstall Windows 10, you can use the tools on this page to create your own installation media using either a USB flash drive or a DVD."

Just follow the instructions on the page.
Create a fresh drive image before making system changes, in case you need to start over!

MediaCreationTool (the name of the executable which can be downloaded and run to fetch the Windows 10 ISO and/or create USB/DVD).

    Bruce,

PMFJI, but IMHO we should all be a little sparing in our use of acronyms in sticky topics, where the user may well be a N00b. AFAIK, we were all N00bs once (IIRC). Of course, YMMV.

I downloaded it previously via Windows 8.1 Pro, the following is using Windows 10 Pro:

    MCT.PNG 10ISO.PNG

One first downloads the Media Creation Tool itself. Next, from an account in the Administrators group, right-click the downloaded Media Creation Tool and select Run as administrator. Make your OS choices, then click "Next". The graphics above illustrate what follows. One can reuse the Media Creation Tool at any time to make another download. The tool can build a bootable USB thumb drive using the Windows 10 installation files that can be used either for the upgrade of a qualifying OS, or to perform a clean install to a qualifying PC.

... from experience, "with glossy 8 X 10 color photographs" (a nod to Arlo Guthrie and the song, "Alice's Restaurant").

Wavy is saying is that when the download is performed on an XP machine you don't get the Media Creation Tool as that will not run on XP all you get is the ISO.
