    Remote Access Modem

    Hi All

    Got another one for you.
Got a TP modem that i could remotly access using the sights IP Address but ive now fitted CCTV at this site and had to port forward some ports
    including post 80
so now everytime i enter the sites IP i get the admin page for the CCTV
how can i make it so i can still access the TP modem? ive tried changing the remote managment port number to 8080 and typed http://siteip:8080 but get nothing?

    Thanks.

    Alpha Tech,

Don't really know how to fix your problem directly, but It's a security vulnerability to enable remote-management (Wi-FI) as it makes it easier to hack into your network. IMHO you should only access your Modem/Router via wired connection. YMMV HTH

    Hi retired geek.
It for a family member who like to keep all items with there own reservation so when he gets something new i would remote acces the modem and set up a new reservation for him but after adding the cctv port 80 is now used for that.
there must be away but not found it as of yet.

    Alpha Tech,

I would use a program like TeamViewer which will allow you to act just like you are at his computer and thus no need for remote administration. HTH
