Windows 7/8 license after the 30 days is up

As I understand it you can roll back to your previous version before 30 days.
My question is what happens after 30 days if you restore your old system using a cloned HDD or image file.
Will the previous version license still be valid or has Microsoft disabled it?

According to what we think we know the license will be invalid. BUT, until someone tries we won't know for sure.

My assumption is that you can either have the Windows 7 license or the Windows 10 license but not both at the same time. You might have to use phone activation to get Windows 7 reactivated after one month. You might have to talk to a Microsoft rep and explain the situation.

But as Joe said, until someone tries we won't know for sure.

Good question because I cloned my Win 7 HDD before installing Win 10 and the Windows.Old folder has been decimated.

    Lumpy, greetings.
I will stick my neck out just a little and say that from a clone you ought to be a winner, from a clone you need not get validated.
One caveat to cover my bum, ie: if your W-7 license was gonzoed by MS but let me state my doubts.
    All best wishes, Jean.
